Condroblastoma dos ossos do pé: Aspectos clínicos e radiográficos

Resumo

Objective: The chondroblastoma is a rare benign neoplasm, and comprise 1% of all primary osseous tumors, typically occurring in epiphysis of long bones, with higher incidence in the second decade of life predominantly in men. The objective of this study was to evaluate the clinical and radiological features of concroblastoma. Methods: Five cases of chondroblastoma in foot were selected between 1990 and 2007 to study the clinical and radiologic data, as well as the type of surgical treatment and functional results obtained, comparing with literature. Results: It was observed that these tumors of the foot have more recurrence rates and are more frequent in adults, when compared to the places common occurred. Conclusion: These tumors are rare on the foot, with similar prognostic to the places of higher incidence (femur, tibia, humerus), being able to present aggressive behavior, in some cases, and demanding a careful therapeutic boarding. Surgical results showed a good functional outcome even in cases with recurrence.
