Shockwave therapy on diabetic foot
Keywords:
Diabetes mellitus; Lithotripsy; Wound healing; Case reportsAbstract
Wounds chronic of diabetic foot are responsible for severe complications often leading to amputations of limbs. Treatment is individualized and has high socioeconomic costs. Several treatments attempt to obtain the complete healing of wounds, but usually with extreme difficulty. A new way of encouraging the closure of wounds with the use of extracorporeal shock wave therapy is being investigated. We present some results of treatment and propose new studies for validation of the method.Downloads
