Primary leiomyosarcoma of bone is a rare tumor with a few more than 100 cases reported. Until now its existence as an entity was controversial, however it is now better described by more sophisticated image exams and by immunohistochemical and electron microscopy studies. Our objective was to report a case of primary leiomyosarcoma of bone, located in the distal methaphyseal tibia, comparing with tumors described in literature, approaching the etiological, clinical, radiological, histological, and treatment aspects.Downloads
