Abstract

We describe a case of painful soft tissue tumor in foot in a 12 years-old male after recurrence then local resection with histopathological diagnosis of plantar fibromatosis. We analyze the particularity of the case and the generalities of the pathology as a current literature review. We note that the plantar fibromatosis or Ledderhose disease is a rare disorder of the connective tissue, of still unknown origin, who rarely gives pain symptoms justifying surgery and that inadequate resections are associated with high rate of complications. We suggest avoid unnecessary surgical actions.
